PIZZA WITH A PURPOSE - On Saturday, September 18th, from 3:30p-9pm, at the Charlie Daniel's Park Outdoor Amphitheater, Grace will be hosting a fundraising event for our Backpack Food Program.  This event features 5 Contemporary Christian music acts: UR1, Open Door, Lindsay Jacobs, Changed Lives and OneWayHome and is called "Pizza with a Purpose"!  The event is free, but donations will be accepted and appreciated for PWAP.

The Youth of Grace UMC Children's Choir have been REACHING OUT to kids right where they are. Every Wednesday evening our kids get together for a time of fellowship and pizza, where they stuff 131 bags with non-perishable food items.  This is their purpose, and they have pizza!  The bags are given to counselors at 4 Wilson County Elementary Schools, which are then distributed to children who may not get proper nutrition over the weekend. The Children's Choir at Grace has taken the command of Jesus to feed His sheep seriously. 100% of the money collected at this event will go to help support this program. Our goal is to raise $7,400.00.  Hope to see you all there and please pray for the hungry children helped by this program as well as the Children's Choir of Grace UMC.  For more information, please email Peter Hass at peterhass14@yahoo.com

REFRIGERATOR NEEDED FOR PRESCHOOL - Have you recently upgraded your home refrigerator and now have an extra one taking up space?  Grace Preschool is in need of a full size refrigerator that will replace our current one. AWESOME CHANGES ARE COMING TO CHILDREN'S MINISTRY IN SEPTEMBER! Playful Praise (ages three through pre-K), Children's Church (ages k through 5th grade), and Children's Sunday School are getting a make-over! New, improved, fun, action-packed, high-energy, and interactive elements are coming to all three ministries.  Beginning September 12, Playful Praise will continue to meet in room C11 but with all new interactive, pre-school based curriculum. Also on September 12, Children's Church will begin meeting in the adult wing, Room A7, with all new praise and worship music, memorable lessons and activities, and discussion starter DVD segments.

On September 12, The R.O.C.K. replaces Children's Sunday School. Children will gather in the sanctuary at 9:45 with group leaders for silly songs before heading to a time of games, snacks, crafts and a Bible Story. Parents and other adults remaining in the sanctuary for the 10:00 service will encounter a brief, powerful message from the word of God from the same scripture passage our children are studying.
