Parish Nurse Ministry

As Parish Nurse, Martha Wilson takes an active role in assisting the individual and community to integrate holistic health promotions by focusing on wellness and disease prevention. A Parish Nurse is a Registered Nurse, a health educator, a personal health counselor, a facilitator of support groups, a coordinator of volunteers, and a church staff member. Martha also offers classes in CPR and First Aid, provides screening for hypertension and diabetes and referrals to community services, coordinates blood drives, and assists the pastor with visitation.
