Tech Team
"Techies" are always needed at Grace.
Our Technology Team offers great opportunities to use your skills, creative abilities, talents and past years of experience.
Some of these opportunities include:
- Sound Engineers for Worship Services
Maintain and run the soundboard on a rotating weekly schedule at Grace UMC during the 8:30, 10:00, and 11:00am services or Church Staff organized events during the church year, including but not limited to memorial/funeral services, Hanging of the Green service, Children’s Musicals, Cantatas, and VBS programs.
Techies will report directly to the Minister of Music and Arts on a weekly basis for any needs, issues or anything that pertains to the job description and duties. Duties will include set up and take down after the final service and or programming. General maintenance of the equipment; i.e. cleaning/dusting of board, making sure there are batteries and cd’s for services, keeping a weekly inventory of the sound closet and board, ordering extra parts as needed, keeping cords, mics and other sound equipment in working order. Although there is no dress code, professional attire will be expected during services and special occasions.
Maintain and run the songscreen on a rotating schedule at during the 8:30, 10:00 and 11:00 am services. Duties include se up and take down of the songscreen system, cleaning, maintaining, and programming the equipment before service.
- Lighting Operators (special services)
Learning how to set up and take down lighting equipment and maintain it during services and special events.
Special training is required and is offered by the church.
