Other Learning OpportunitiesWednesday Nights provide an opportunity for fellowship, food and learning. Wednesdays include programming for children (Pizza with a Purpose, choir, bible study), and adults (choirs, classes) at the main building and youth at the Family Life Center (FLC). Beth Moore Bible Studies are offered periodically on both mornings and evenings.

Welcoming all women and meeting in small groups or “circles,” UMW members enjoy friendship with other women of faith and provide opportunities for spiritual growth through prayer, devotionals, and service to the church and community. Grace offers several circle group opportunities including BYKOTA (Be Ye Kind One To Another) and Ruth Circle.

Walk to Emmaus Weekend is a 72-hour weekend experience of Christian spiritual renewal and formation intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. Emmaus is an international and inter-denominational program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. Participants enjoy three days of singing, learning, laughing, praying, worshiping, and small groups. Discussions center on the theme of God’s grace, how that grace comes alive in the Christian community, and how it expresses itself in the world. There are hundreds of Emmaus communities across America and 71 communities in 30 other countries. The Nashville Emmaus Community holds walks every Fall and Spring at Hermitage UMC.
